I mentioned a couple cool cars that a friend of ours had. He mentioned it in !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , and asked if I might mind sharing them with everyone. $kaycog, you may need to sit down for this.

I'm not going to beat around the bush: This is the main attraction. It's a 1966 Ford GT40 Mk1 that raced in the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! for team !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , and !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! (class 0-1).

He also has this. This terrible picture (my dad took them, not me) is of an original 1965 AC/Shelby 427 Cobra. It has been in his family since it was 6 months old. Unlike the GT40, I have seen him drive this one.

Then there is this Messerschmitt bubble car,

An Alfa Romeo racer,

an R8 V10, a new Ford GT, and a host of non-picture AMG cars and others, including some cool bikes.

This whole collection is at his house, maybe a mile from us.

What an awesome history that GT40 MK1 has. I'm sitting down, and I may need some time alone. What a car! I also love that original Shelby Cobra.

The BMW R2 was a 198 cc overhead valve single-cylinder motorcycle produced by BMW between 1931 and 1936. It's funny: The R8 and the new GT are both cars that would turn heads, including mine, in any other situation, but next to those old cars, they seem so ...pedestrian.

The R8 is kind of his winter beater. Chew on that, K-Roll.
